This Privacy Policy explains how KOLBEN TECHNOLOGIES, INC., operating HWGO.io ("HWGO," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use our website, applications, messaging features, artificial intelligence features, conversation analysis tools, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

HWGO is intended only for people who are 18 years of age or older.

1. Information We Collect

A. Account and Profile Information

When you create or maintain an account, we may collect information such as:

Name or display name, Username, Email address, Password or authentication information, Profile photo, biography, interests, or other profile fields you choose to provide, Account preferences and settings, Confirmation that you are at least 18 years old.

If we support third-party sign-in services such as Google or Apple, we may receive account information that you authorize those providers to share with us.

B. Conversation and User Content

We collect content that you submit through HWGO, including:

Messages sent to another user in a structured conversation, Messages sent to an AI participant, Public takes, replies, and public conversations, Conversation continuations, Links and other material included in messages, Reports, feedback, or other content you submit to HWGO.

Because HWGO is designed for substantive discussions, users may voluntarily discuss personal, political, philosophical, religious, professional, health-related, or otherwise sensitive subjects. HWGO does not require users to provide sensitive information in order to participate. However, information you voluntarily include in a conversation may reveal sensitive characteristics or beliefs.

Please do not include highly sensitive information—such as passwords, government identification numbers, payment-card numbers, precise financial account credentials, or private medical records—unless a feature specifically requests that information and clearly explains why it is needed.

C. AI Analysis and Generated Information

We may process conversation content to generate automated analyses and recommendations, including:

Key areas of disagreement or agreement, Steelman summaries of participants’ positions, Themes, assumptions, ambiguities, unanswered questions, or issues to address next, Related thinkers, writers, philosophers, researchers, schools of thought, or concepts, Related books, articles, websites, videos, or other online content, Other analysis designed to support the conversation.

We may store some or all of these outputs in association with the relevant conversation, participants, or account so that the feature can be displayed, revisited, continued, moderated, or supported.

D. Information About Public Activity

If you use public features, we may collect and display information such as your username or profile, public takes, public replies, public conversations, engagement with public content, and AI-generated analyses associated with public content. Public information may be visible to other users, search engines, or people outside HWGO depending on the product design and your settings.

E. Invitations and Contacts

If you invite another person, we may collect the contact information you provide for the invitation, such as an email address or phone number, together with information needed to send, secure, measure, or prevent abuse of the invitation.

F. Device, Log, and Usage Information

When you use HWGO, we or our service providers may automatically collect technical and usage information such as:

IP address and approximate location derived from IP address, Browser type, operating system, device type, and device identifiers, Pages, screens, features, or conversations viewed or used, Dates, times, duration, and frequency of use, Referral URLs, campaign parameters, and interactions with links, Crash logs, performance data, and diagnostic information, Security signals, fraud-prevention information, and account-access events.

3. AI Processing and Model Training

Processing Needed to Provide AI Features

When you use AI-powered features, HWGO may send some or all of the relevant conversation text, prior context, instructions, metadata, and related information to one or more AI or infrastructure providers so they can return the requested analysis or response. The specific information transmitted depends on the feature and provider.

AI Processing and Use of Conversation Content

HWGO does not train general-purpose artificial intelligence models using your conversation content. To provide AI-powered features, HWGO may transmit conversation content and related information to third-party AI service providers. Those providers may process that information in accordance with their agreements, terms, and data-use practices, which may include using submitted content to improve or train their models or services where permitted by those terms.

HWGO may process conversation content, AI outputs, and user feedback to provide the Service, evaluate quality, maintain context, detect abuse, secure and troubleshoot the Service, and improve HWGO’s product features and prompts.

4. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose personal information in the following circumstances:

A. To Other Users and the Public

We disclose your messages to the intended recipient in a direct conversation. We display information you intentionally submit through public features to the audience indicated by the Service. Public content may be copied or shared by others outside our control.

B. Service Providers

We may disclose information to vendors that provide services on our behalf, such as cloud hosting, databases, content delivery, authentication, email delivery, customer support, analytics, security, moderation, AI processing, search or recommendation technology, and payment processing. These providers receive information as needed to perform their services and are subject to contractual or legal obligations appropriate to their role.

C. Business Transfers

We may disclose information in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction, subject to applicable law.

5. Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising

HWGO does not sell personal information for money and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If HWGO later uses advertising technologies, audience matching, retargeting, or data arrangements that constitute a “sale” or “sharing” under applicable privacy law, this policy and the product must be updated to provide required notices and opt-out mechanisms, including recognition of legally required opt-out preference signals where applicable.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide and improve the Service, maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and how it is used. Deleted information may remain in backups for a limited period until those backups are overwritten in the ordinary course.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These measures may include encrypted connections, access controls, authentication safeguards, logging, vendor controls, and other security practices appropriate to the Service.

No internet service or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and should notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

8. Your Choices and Controls

Account information: you may be able to review or update certain profile and account information in settings.

Public content: where supported, you may edit or delete content or change visibility settings, subject to feature limitations and copies made by others.

Direct conversations: deletion or account closure may not remove copies retained by the other participant or content needed for legal, safety, or technical reasons.

Marketing emails: you may unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email. We may still send transactional, security, legal, or account messages.

Cookies: your browser or our cookie controls may allow you to block or delete certain cookies, though essential cookies may be required for the Service.

9. U.S. State Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and whether a particular state privacy law applies to HWGO, you may have rights regarding your personal information. These may include rights to request access to or confirmation of personal information; obtain a copy; correct inaccuracies; request deletion; opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling; limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; and appeal a denied request.

HWGO will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights that apply to you.

California

If the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended, applies to HWGO, California residents may have rights to know/access, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and receive equal service and pricing when exercising those rights, subject to statutory exceptions. HWGO must provide the request methods and disclosures required for its actual business model and size.

10. Sensitive Personal Information and Inferences

Users may voluntarily discuss subjects that reveal or suggest sensitive characteristics, beliefs, health information, political or philosophical views, religious views, sexual orientation, or other sensitive matters. HWGO’s core purpose is to analyze the content and structure of conversations to facilitate discussion—not to determine or sell sensitive traits about users.

AI systems may nevertheless generate summaries, themes, or inferences based on what a user says. These automated outputs may be wrong. We do not intend such outputs to be used as authoritative profiles of a person’s identity, health, psychology, politics, religion, or other sensitive traits.

11. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting. There is no single universally adopted standard for responding to all Do Not Track signals, so HWGO may not respond to traditional Do Not Track signals unless required by law.

12. Third-Party Links and Services

HWGO may recommend or link to third-party articles, videos, websites, booksellers, social platforms, or other resources. We do not control those third parties. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we encourage you to review them before providing personal information.

13. Adults Only / Children’s Privacy

HWGO is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly permit people under 18 to create accounts. If we learn that an account belongs to a person under 18, we may suspend or delete the account and associated information as appropriate.

14. International Users

HWGO is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from another country, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. Those jurisdictions may have data-protection laws different from those in your country. Additional disclosures or transfer mechanisms may be required if HWGO targets users in jurisdictions such as the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, or Canada.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as HWGO, our technology, or applicable law changes. We will update the “Last Updated” date when we revise the policy. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice through the Service, by email, or through another reasonable method. Where required by law, we will obtain consent before applying materially different practices.
